PARF Rebate Calculator
Estimate a car PARF rebate using the selected COE cohort, vehicle age and actual ARF paid.
Tax and loan rules last updated 13 Oct 2026. Sources are listed under How this calculator works.
For COE-exempt cars, use registration dates: before 15 February 2023, 15 February 2023–12 February 2026, or from 13 February 2026. Renewed COE cars are not PARF eligible.
The Preferential Additional Registration Fee (PARF) rebate is returned when you deregister a vehicle within 10 years. The rebate schedule and cap depend on the original COE cohort.

How this calculator works
Quick answer: the PARF rebate is a percentage of the ARF actually paid, set by the car’s age when it is deregistered and by when it got its original COE. Cars with COEs from before February 2026 get 75% down to 50%. Cars with COEs from the second February 2026 exercise get 30% down to 5%, capped at $30,000.
| Original COE cohort | Up to 5 years | At 10 years | Cap |
|---|---|---|---|
| COE before the second February 2023 exercise | 75% | 50% | No monetary cap in this cohort |
| COE from second February 2023 through first February 2026 exercise | 75% | 50% | S$60,000 |
| COE from the second February 2026 exercise onward | 30% | 5% | S$30,000 |
Intermediate age bands appear in the PARF calculator. Renewed COE cars are not PARF eligible; use the actual ARF paid, not the gross ARF before adjustments.
Select the cohort for the COE used to register the car. Different cohorts have different rebate rates and caps. The calculator shows the rebate table for the cohort you choose.
rebate = min(actual_ARF_paid × rate_for_age_and_cohort, cohort_cap)
PARF eligibility extends to age ten years under the applicable schedule; a car older than ten is ineligible. A vehicle with renewed COE is also not PARF eligible. Fractional age inputs matter near the yearly boundaries: confirm the actual deregistration date and entitlement in your LTA record.
PARF is separate from the unused COE rebate and any dealer or scrap-body offer. It does not guarantee the total price a buyer will pay for the vehicle.

What this calculator does not capture
This is a car PARF estimate. It does not include a COE rebate, body value or insurance settlement. Confirm eligibility, exact vehicle age and the ARF actually paid from the LTA vehicle record.
Frequently asked questions
- How is the PARF rebate calculated?
- Multiply the ARF actually paid by the rate for the car’s age when it is deregistered, then apply the cap. For cars with COEs obtained before February 2026 the rate falls from 75% (up to 5 years old) to 50% (9 to 10 years). For COEs from the second February 2026 exercise it falls from 30% to 5%, with a $30,000 cap.
- How do I check my car’s PARF value?
- Use LTA’s PARF and COE rebate enquiry on OneMotoring, or the Enquire Transfer Fees service with the owner’s access code. Both show whether the car is PARF-eligible and the ARF that was paid. Enter that ARF in the calculator.
- Do I also get money back for the COE?
- Yes, if the COE has not expired. You get a COE rebate for the unused months, based on the premium originally paid, on top of PARF. If a car is exported within 2 years of registration, its COE rebate is capped at 80% of the premium paid.
- Which cars get no PARF rebate?
- Cars more than 10 years old, cars on a renewed COE and cars that have been laid up. A car that is renewed at 10 years gives up its PARF rebate for good.
- How long do I have to claim the rebate?
- 12 months from the date the car is deregistered. Any outstanding car loan and LTA payments must be settled before the rebate is released.
